Ghanaian Entertainment Journalist and pundit, Arnold Asamoah Baido has said that Yaw Tog never lied when he stated that he made Stormzy more popular in Ghana.

Yaw Tog became the topic on social media following his claims that he made Stormzy more popular on the Ghanaian market just as Stormzy also added to his popularity on the international market.
He said this in an interview on TV3 where he stated that though Stormzy was a bigger star, he wasn’t known that much in Ghana until his collaboration with him.
Well, it appeared that some social media users and industry players misconstructed his statement, tagging him as disrespectful and ungrateful for making such claims on TV.
It is at the back of this that Arnold Asamoah Baidoo is saying that Yaw Tog never lied when he said he made Stormzy more popular in Ghana.
According to him, Yaw Tog’s first statement that Stormzy made him more popular on the market attests to the fact that he acknowledges him as a bigger star than he is.
Speaking in an interview on JoyFM’s Drive show with Saminiwaa, Arnold said; “Listen to the first statement he made, ‘he made me more popular in this market,’ I mean where is the lie, Stormzy is the bigger star, an international artiste, he has a larger audience, he has the biggest leverage, the biggest influence, so there’s no lie in that first statement that Stormzy made him more popular in this market.”
“Let’s go to the second line, ‘I made him more popular here too because people didn’t know Stormzy,’ the emphasis is on more popular, the classification of the popular so there is an acknowledgment that Stormzy is popular in Ghana, the emphasis is on the more, again, where is the lie?” he continued.
“You and I knew Stormzy, but how many people in Ghana actually heard Stormzy?” “And so if Yaw Tog claims he made him more popular, first and foremost, he has accepted that he was already successful, but he added some elevation to his popularity, and that’s a truth.”
