After Sam George was asked if he was mad to have said he (Kuami Eugene) will not be needed to perform at the Sunday match between Hearts and Kotoko, the NDC MP has come back strongly.

According to him, Kuami Eugene does not directly affect the profit whoever is in charge of the games need to make thus his performance before the match is much ado about nothing.

This is a response from the Ningo-Prampram MP to both the “Rockstar” and many Ghanaians who have intimated that because Adonko Next Energy Drink is a sponsor of the Ghana Premier League, it is legitimate for them to ask for a performance from their ambassador, Kuami Eugene.

Sam George in a tweet has clarified that nowhere in the contract was it stipulated that Kuami Eugene needs to perform at games. Thus he has rubbished the move and said musical performances do not bring any profit and are needless especially when tickets for the Sunday cracker has been sold out already.

What will Kuami Eugene’s performance add or take away from the game?

All those saying contract and all, can you show me where in the Adonko contract it says Kwami Eugene must perform at games? Is the sponsor not interested in ticket sales? Did the tickets not sell out in less than an hour? Who says we need a musical performance for profit?
