Amerado has fired his cannons ahead of the 2021 Vodafone Ghana Awards by stating categorically that he deserves the Best Rapper of the year award.
The ‘Ye Te Nsem’ curator says everyone knows he has excelled remarkably under the year in review so it will be shocking if he doesn’t lay his hands on the coveted plaque.
Amerado, a product of Sarkodie’s ‘Biibi ba’ project, is competing against Eno Barony, Joey B, Keche, Kofi Jamar, Kwesi Arthur, Medikal, Sarkodie and Yaw Tog for this year’s award.
Speaking in an interview with MzGee on TV3’s Simply , Amerado stated that he has been able to hold the Ghana rap game down when the industry came to a standstill owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Unless people say they have forgotten about what I have done. But genuinely, I did my best as a young act to hold Ghana rap down when everything was shut down during this COVID time.
And even after that, I have proven myself. I am just hoping for the best. I am not going to say every nominee deserves it. But I am going to say Amerado deserves it,” he said.
