Ghanaian gospel musician, Ceccy Twum has indicated that although he is interested in winning awards, but that is not her main focus.
The renowned musician made this known in a recent interview she had with Andy Dosty with on Hitz FM.
In her submission, she said;
“I have been doing music for 15 years. I am not signed onto any record label. I am doing my own thing.
Awards is not the main thing. Winning awards is p art of my intentions but that is not the focus. I have been nominated for certain awards but I did not file for nominations —before I realized, I was nominated.”
The musician was once in the news after she claimed that one of her colleagues in the gospel industry sent her photo to a fetish priest just to end her career.
She disclosed that the gospel musician (whose name she never mentioned) went to the extent of taking her photograph to a ‘juju’ shrine in the Volta Region to make sure her career takes a nosedive.
She claimed that the person sees her as a force to reckon with, hence the reason to eliminate her from the gospel music scene.
“I was once told by a man of God I visited that my picture has been taken to a place in Ho,” she stated.
She, therefore, advised the general public to be wary of some artistes they perceive as gospel musicians because “not all gospel musicians are Christians.”
She also added that she wasn’t surprised such a thing is happening because the end of the world is near and a lot of things are bound to happen.
