Ghanaian gospel musician, Ceccy Twum has stated that more gospel musicians are needed in Ghana.

The talented musician made this known in a recent interview he had on Hitz FM as she spoke to Andy Dosty on Friday, June 18.

In her submission, she said;

“Check the number of people Pastor Chris brought into the music scene, who are still with the Church, and the number of Ghanaian musicians that were helped by Ghanaian pastors and Churches, who are still loyal to the Church. Check.

One musician my husband helped when he had nothing has now turned his back to tell him how much he is supposed to be paid.

We need more gospel musicians in Ghana. I am friends with almost all the gospel musicians. The female artistes are my sisters. You might not see me roll with them but we are cool.

I prefer the digital way of selling music. However, CDs are still bought in Churches.”

Some time ago, she was in the news as she revealed that another Ghanaian gospel musician wanted to end her career.

Speaking in a recent interview, she disclosed that the gospel musician (whose name she never mentioned) went to the extent of taking her photograph to a ‘juju’ shrine in the Volta Region to make sure her career takes a nosedive.

She claimed that the person sees her as a force to reckon with, hence the reason to eliminate her from the gospel music scene.

“I was once told by a man of God I visited that my picture has been taken to a place in Ho,” she stated.

She, therefore, advised the general public to be wary of some artistes they perceive as gospel musicians because “not all gospel musicians are Christians.”
