Ghanaian Hiplife and Hip Hop rapper Edem had alleged that the test on arrival at Ghana’s premium airport is a pure ‘scam’ and ‘rip off’.

According to the rapper, he has been to so many airports within the last couple of weeks and none of the airports he visited made him do a new test upon arriving at the airport. He said no country makes you pay to take another COVID 19 test asides the one to did before entry to that country.
He alleged that the COVID-19 test that goes on at the Kotoka International Airport for arrival passengers is a total scam and a rip off by the authorities of the airport and the government in general.
Edem quizzed he doesn’t understand why a passenger is mandated to take a COVID-19 within 48 hours before traveling to Ghana and upon arrival, is made to pay for a different COVID-19 test at the airport before granting entry into the country.

The COVID-19 test at the port of entry at the Kotoka International Airport has been subjected to many criticisms for the past couple of months as many regard it as a means of the government taking money from travelers.
