Rapper and business magnate, D-Black has clarified that he’s not affiliated to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the perception has been after he congratulated Nana Akufo Addo when he won the 2020 Presidential elections.

The Black Avenue Muzik boss told MzGee on ShowBiz927 on 3FM that people should not read meaning into his tweet congratulating the President after the elections.

He said his pictures with the President were not taken because he was working for the political party. He mentioned a few instances when industry stakeholders were invited to the Presidents’ house.

He also mentioned that his father made Nana Akufo Addo his personal lawyer years ago when he was a kid and that was how he became fond of him.

He said, ” The President was my father’s lawyer when I was growing up as a child. So, I am saying Uncle, well done. How is this throwing my weight behind him?
