We Can’t Fix Ghana Because Citizens Are Full Of Hate, Greed, Nonchalant Attitude

For the past few days, some social media users have dedicated their pages to trend the new hashtag #FixTheCountry. Many are of the opinion that the ruling government has messed up the economic system of the country. These rants from Ghanaians on social media come after the announcement of the hikes in fuel prices and taxes.

Several people have expressed their disappointment in the ruling government and have channeled their anger and frustrations on their social media handles. Some celebrities like Serwaa Amihere, John Dumelo, Efia Odo, Yvonne Nelson, and Lydia Forson have all joined the trend of the newly created hashtag #FixTheCountry.

While some a demanding a better Ghana and developmental projects, others have called on the reduction of fuel prices. However, it appears Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei has a different opinion about the current happenings.

According to him, Ghana can be a better and well-fixed country if citizens start to fix their lives and attitude towards issues. He complained of how people harbor hatred, greed, selfishness, nonchalant attitude, and also tribalism which are also some factors for the set back of the country.

“Ghana will be better and well-fixed if we the citizenry fix ourselves first. Say no to Hate, Greed, Selfishness, Nonchalant Attitude, Tribalism.. We move!! #fixyourself 🇬🇭 and then Ghana will be fixed for all to enjoy!! ❤️ #wemove… Is it not the same human beings that work in government and a place of power? Are they not citizens of Ghana?? From the church to the flagstaff house is all corrupt!!! So let’s fix ourselves first, that will translate to fixing our country Ghana!!! Amen”.
