Well, music lovers could vividly recall that these two musicians have been facing serious backlashes for allegedly stealing people’s songs and rebranding them as theirs.

Kuami Eugene for instance was slammed by social media users because he stole some lines from Nigerian rapper, Ice Prince in his “Wish Me Well” song in 2018. He was also accused of stealing some lines from some other musicians’ songs as well,

Mr. Drew was also exposed after he stole the rhythms from Rotimi’s song “Love Riddim” in his “Eat” song featuring Stonebwoy.

Speaking on Okay FM, Mr. Drew said that he learned how to sample other people’s music from his mentor, Kuami Eugene who he claims has a scholarship in doing that.

He said that the “Open Gate” hitmaker started sampling other musicians’ songs before he even started doing so, hence making him his senior in the field and has earned a scholarship.

However, he defended their actions by saying that they do not steal other people’s songs as claimed by social media users and critics, he described what they do as creativity.

He said that his management had to render an apology to Stonebwoy due to some miscommunications about the origin of the song.
