Damongo, Feb 12, GNA – Alhaji Adam Zakaria, a 65 year-old retired Teacher, has been elected Savannah Regional Representative of the Council of State.
Alhaji Zakaria was overwhelmingly endorsed by the delegates as he secured all the 14 votes cast during the elections held at Damongo on Friday.
His two other contestants; Alhaji Jawula Muhamadu Nurudeen, and Mr Mohammed Adam Abdul did not get a single vote.
