Traders at the Kumasi Central Market have also thrown their support for Madam Frema Osei-Opare, thanking the President for finding her worthy of continuing to work with him.

This, they said, has showed that he is a listening President, for which reason they have promised to support him to succeed.

Made up of over 20 identifiable groups in the Kumasi Central Market, the traders said the President had fulfilled their request to retain Akosua Frema Osei-Opare as the Chief of Staff.

According to the excited traders, barely two weeks ago, they appealed to the President to retain Frema Opare at post and their heart desire had been answered by the President.

Their leader, Mr. John Yaw Sarpong, stated that they are thrilled by the respect the President had showed them.

“President Akufo-Addo is a unique leader who respects all manner of people irrespective of their social backgrounds; we appealed to him to retain the Chief of Staff due to her good works.

“And as a listening President, whose heart desire is to work with equally other hard working people to expedite national development, the President has retained the hardworking Chief of Staff.”

Addressing journalists at Kejetia on Wednesday, Yaw Sarpong said the Chief of Staff delivered during the government’s first term “and she shall continue her positive works again.”

Yaw Sarpong also reiterated his earlier appeal to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) leadership and members to ensure that Vice President Dr. Bawumia leads the party as flagbearer in 2024.

Just like the Chief of Staff, he said, “Dr. Bawumia also performed exceptionally, which helped President Akufo-Addo’s government to succeed so he deserves to lead the NPP in 2024.”

AdizaZongo Pioneer, a top NPP member in Kumasi, on her part, lauded the President for retaining FremaOpare as Chief of Staff, appealing that Dr. Bawumia should lead the NPP in election 2024.
