The Speaker of Parliament has wrongly referred to the wife of Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, as Ramatu Bawumia.
Dr Bawumia’s wife is rather called Samira Bawumia.
The Speaker after making the blunder as he acknowledged guests at the swearing-in ceremony of President Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr Bawumia on Thursday, January 7, 2021, swiftly apologized.
He however noted that “Ramatu Bawumia” was the name on the guests list presented to him to read.
