Accra, Oct. 20, GNA – Nana Frimpomaa Sarpong Kumankoma, Chairperson of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), has presented an amount of GH¢5,000 to the family of the late Mr Atuiri Gladstone, a former Education Secretary of the Party in Builsa North of the Upper East Region.

The donation was part of a welfare insurance package that has been instituted in support of constituency executives of the CPP by the Chairperson.
Nana Kumankoma together with the leadership of the Party made the donation when they paid a visit to the family of the late executive member.
She said the Party’s fortunes were dwindling at the grassroots because members who were in hard times had little support, which necessitated the establishment of a support fund for members.
“It is, therefore, my mission to ensure that the welfare of members are catered for so they may have the zeal to go out and mobilise for the Party,” the Chairperson said.
In a related development, the Chairperson with some national executive members have embarked on a national electoral area and polling station mobilization exercise to build the Party’s presence at those levels.
The team is currently in the northern region rebuilding structures of the Party for a resounding victory in the December 07 General Election.
