Final year secondary school students in Nigeria won’t take part in the 2020 West African Examination Council(WAEC) examinations, the Federal Government has said.
The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, confirmed this to State House Correspondents on Wednesday 8th July, 2020.
He also said that after the week’s virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, there is no date for school resumption yet.
Mr Adamu added that he prefers Nigerian students lose an academic year rather than being exposed to dangers amid the Novel Covid-19 pandemic.
