Management of Hiplife musician, Tinny, real name Nii Addo Quaynor, have dismissed reports that he has contracted COVID-19.

On Wednesday, Broken Heart artiste Nii Funny, put up a post on his Facebook page indicating that Tinny had tested positive for the virus.

He wrote: “COVID 19 Is Real Ghanaians Should Pray for Tinny He Has Tested Positive.”

However, Tinny’s management have denied that statement saying their artiste is hale and hearty.

In a statement available to Graphic , the management said Nii Funny made the post after a funny conversation with Tinny.

They urged people to be cautious and observe all the protocols while asking bloggers not to spread false information.

The country’s coronavirus cases keep rising as more government officials and other personalities test positive.

Currently, Ghana has recorded 18,134 cases with 13,550 recoveries and 117 deaths.

Below is the statement:

Our attention has been drawn to few social media comments and blog posts stating categorically that Nii Addo Quaynor popular know as Tinny ‘Aletse’ has been diagnosed with Corona Virus.

As management of Tinny, we debunk all rumours surrounding him and assure fans, close relations and the general public that Tinny is healthy and has not in anyway tested positive for the Corona Virus.

We believe this news came to the public after a jest conversation between Tinny and one of his industry friends Nii Funny.

We take this opportunity to urge everyone to remain calm and observe all the measures instituted in place to combat this pandemic.

Also bloggers and social media influencers are also advised to desist from spreading false information.

Thank you!
