The trending news in Ghana right across all social media platforms is that of Akuapem Poloo’s naked photo with son in celebration of his 7th birthday and other matters arising in relation.

The photo after surfacing on the internet has many Ghanaians condemning her for sharing such an ‘irresponsible’ photo among the many in her gallery that she could have used instead.

Ghpage, a few moments ago reported that the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service has invited the actress for questioning.

Just a tick of a clock, the Child Rights International – a Non-profit organization in Accra- has also petitioned to the CID department of the Ghana Police Service to investigate into Akuapem Poloo’s naked photo with her son.

The CIR-Child Rights International to how serious they are on taking on the probe on this matter has issued a letter to the Director-General of the CID department dated 30th June 2020 to the CID.

Dear Sir,

Petition for Investigation Child Rights International (CRI) is a non-governmental organization with the aim of upholding the fundamental human rights of children irrespective of their religion, status, geographical location, colour and ethnicity.

Our attention has been drawn to a nude picture involving a certain Miss Rosemond Brown Popularly known as “Akuapem Poloo” and a child circulating on social media.

As a child rights organization that believes in upholding the rights of children, we deem this act as a violation of the Welfare Principle of the Children’ ACT and abuse of the child’s right to privacy and dignity. We wish to notify your esteemed office to investigate the taking of the said images and its circulation.
