How Majek Fashek Became A Nigerian Legend (Video)

Majekodunmi Fasheke, widely known as Majek Fashek was a born in March 1949. He was a singer, songwriter and a guitarist.

He won the heart of his fellow Nigerians when he released his Prisoner Of Conscience album in 1988 which had a particular hit song “Send Down The Rain”. It was through this song he earned the name “The Rainmaker”. According to the music lovers, there was a heavy downpour of rain after he sung the song at q show.

In 1989 he won six PMAN awards for “Song of the Year”, “Album of the Year”, and “Reggae Artist of the Year” among others from his Prisoner Of Conscience Album. Majek is a force to reckon to reckon with in the world of reggae music and the Nigerian music industry.
