Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has disclosed his net worth on American online video-sharing platform, YouTube.

According to him, he earns more than eighty thousand (80,000) cedis every three months from his YouTube views and subscriptions.

He disclosed this during an interview on Peace FM’s ‘Entertainment Review’.

Although, the sum of money he gets from YouTube ranges between GHC 70000 and above, he however sees it as a meagre amount as compared to his hard work and brand.

He explained that the record of his music expenses far exceeds the income he accrues from the online video-sharing platform.

He also added that he doesn’t shoot lots of music videos because the amount of money he spends in the videos is not commensurate with his YouTube monetary value, but however believes the online platform plays an instrumental role in projecting his brand beyond the shores of Ghana.

“Even though I’m getting like the 80,000, 70,000 from my YouTube views and stuff like that, I feel if you convert GHC 70,000 into dollars, it’s about 15,000 dollars . . . Every three months, I make like 80,000, eight-five, sometimes seven-three; [you know] it switches like up to down like that,” he said.
