Ghanaian midfielder from Richard Boateng has said that during his time of confinement at home due to the coronavirus pandemic he learned “a lot to appreciate life” and the “importance of having a family.”

Boateng recently returned to training with his club side, Alcorcón following the lifting of the restrictions on footballers in Spain.

They have been training for two weeks, hoping for the return of the Segunda Division next month.

“It is something different. We are adapting to the measurements and the training and although it costs the equipment it is plugged in,” Boateng said, in statements released by the club.

For Boateng, the return to work has been “a lot of joy” because he had not seen his teammates for a long time.

“We have had the opportunity to see each other again and be able to train together. We look very good and we are happy,” said Boateng, who acknowledged that during confinement he has lost “a little” of form.

“Normal life is not what we had at home, but we had to live a different life than usual. I have learned a lot about how to appreciate life and take care of each one. The important thing is to have a family and take care of everyone,” he concluded. EFE
