The Director of Mohammed VI Foundation, Sheikh Mustapha Ibrahim has called on Ghanaians especially Muslims to adhere to the social distancing procedures to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

The Muslim Cleric also encouraged Ghanaians to wash their hands regularly with soap under running water and desist from activities which may lead to infection of the deadly Coronavirus.

He further called on Ghanaians to be prayerful whilst observing to measures to mitigate the further spread of the virus adding that the pandemic will soon disappear “by the grace of God”.

Sheikh Mustapha Ibrahim made the call when the Staff and Executives of the Mohammed VI Foundation, Ghana Branch, donated to Muslims around its office in Kanda, a suburb of Accra in the Ayawaso East Metropolis.

The items included rice, cooking oil, sugar, milk, tea and tomato paste.

He stated that the donation was part of the Foundation’s efforts to support Muslims around them with little items that will see them through the fasting period.

He appealed to the residents’ to manage with the little assist provided and further assured that next year they will assist with a bigger Ramadan package.

The residents’ expressed their profound gratitude to the Foundation and prayed for Allah’s protection and grace to the entire executives and staff of the Mohammed VI Foundation.
