The president of Ghana, H.E Nana Akuffo Addo has announced that the timeline for Ghana’s border closure has been extended for two more weeks as test results proves that most cases are imported into the country.

In his bid to flatten the curve on the novel coronavirus outbreak in Ghana, the president Nana Akuffo Addo has informed the public that, Ghana’s border closure has been extended for two more weeks as result gathered proved that 90% of the cases were imported cases.

He added that government will announce it decision this week on whether to extending the country’s lockdown rule for two more weeks. The results of 15,384 out of 19,276 persons who have been reached through contact tracing will be known in a few days. These results will determine whether Govt extends lockdown.
