CEO of Shatta Movement, Shatta Wale has called on owners of South Africa owned Pay-TV service providers DSTV after they failed to reduce their subscription fees over the coronavirus outbreak in Africa.

Earlier, he called on the TELCOS operating in the country for their high prices of data bundles and airtime.

DSTV just before the coronavirus outbreak had plans to increase their subscription rates but put a stop to it after the disease was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organisation.

If not that, it would have been their 3rd increase in 2 years.

However, even though there are no live sports events which is a major motivator for young men who patronize their services, and coupled with the fact that coronavirus has caused economic issues for consumers, DSTV has not attempted to reduce their charges.

Shatta Wale who has been on the necks of companies who have not been humanitarian in times like these charged at DSTV asking them to reduce their charges or even suspend their charges for a month.

“You guys should reduce your subscription, that’s what matters to help the streets to survive in this moment! Ahh,” he tweeted.
