Covid-19: Blackbusters Foundation donates to commercial drivers at Adenta

Blackbusters Foundation, a non-profit organization under Blackbusters family Media has joined the government in the fight against the deadly Coronavirus.

The foundation on Friday, March 27, 2020, donated prevention materials to  drivers and passengers at the Adenta.

Addressing the crowd, the General Manager of Blackbusters Family Media, Portia Arthur said “Ghana has recorded 132 cases of Coronavirus so far and we cannot afford the unthinkable consequences of a COVID-19 pandemic in Africa. It has disrupted the global supply of goods and services.

“The outbreak is the world’s most pressing uncertainty and as Government lay down
rules and regulations to combat the spread of Coronavirus, it is the duty of
companies, and individuals to support the initiatives by policymakers to prevent
economic fallout by donating prevention supplies ​needed to curtail the spread of the
disease in the country and on the continent”.

She added that “Blackbusters Family Media is an international company and we
can’t sit on the fence, panic or ignore the facts or fail to act. The blackbusters foundation thereby presents these items to commercial drivers in the Adenta Municipality to fight against the spread of coronavirus. We urge all Ghanaians to adhere to the right precautionary measures and stay at home”.

The Assembly Woman for Gbentaana Electoral Area, Adenta, Hon. Ella Esinam Nongo used the opportunity to educate and demonstrate the electorates on the handwashing techniques and other precautionary measures against the spread of the coronavirus.
