A federal high court sitting in Lokoja has declared the removal of Simson Achuba as deputy governor of Kogi state as invalid and unconstitutional.
The presiding judge, John Olorunfemi in his ruling also faulted the nomination of Edward Onoja as the deputy governor of the state adding that it did not follow due process.
Achuba was impeached by the state house of Assembly in October 2019 following series of allegations.

Simson and the governor of the state, Yahaya Bello were in war of words before he was impeached.
