Having helped hundreds and thousands of Yendi youth with jobs, men and women with livelihoods and opportunities due to his networks in and outside Ghana, son of late Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Alhaji Aliu Mahama, Farouk Mahama is assuring Yendi of doing more should he be elected to parliament on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party.

Speaking on Point of View with Bernard Avle on Citi TV, Farouk expressed gratitude to Presidents Kuffuor, Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Bawumia for supporting him at various times to fulfill his aspirations.

Mr. Aliu Mahama promised to leverage on the network he acquired by virtue of the good name of his father to push Yendi.

“Recently when I went to America, I met my father’s friends who were into aluminium, other investors and Nigerian businessmen and they are ready to come and invest.” He said. People like Mo Ibrahim who was a close friend of late Vice President Aliu Mahama have all expressed interest in supporting Farouk Mahama lift Yendi up.

“I have done enough to help… the people of the country like in Yendi. I want to serve my people. I have done enough to show that I am ready to lead by setting good examples; looking at the Agricultural aspect of the needs of the Yendi constituency, looking at the health issues, the job creation and the network I am privileged to have,” Mr. Mahama said.

Farouk has tipped a favourite to win the Yendi seat and increase the vote tally of President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Bawumia in the constituency.

The incumbent who is Deputy Foreign Minister is no longer running.
