Accra, January 8, GNA – The Ghana Football
\nAssociation (GFA) has announced that StarTimes Ghana is the new Television
\nRights Holders of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) and the FA Cup.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

StarTimes emerged winners of the competitive
\nbidding process after the GFA accepted their offer, which was the best among
\nother bids.<\/span><\/p>\n

StarTimes would sign a five-year agreement
\nwith the GFA worth $5.25m US Dollars to be the exclusive Television Rights
\nowner of the GPL and the FA Cup with immediate effect.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the GFA has decided to make
\nhighlights of the GPL and the FA Cup available to other television stations in
\na non-exclusive category.<\/span><\/p>\n

As part of the agreement, part of the
\nmonetary consideration will be used to produce matches and highlights of the
\nDivision One League, the Women’s Premier League and Women’s FA Cup to give the
\ncompetitions the needed visibility.<\/span><\/p>\n

The GFA, would, in due course, announce
\nnames of television stations who have been granted non-exclusive rights for the
\nhighlights shows.<\/span><\/p>\n

The GFA welcomes StarTimes as its partner
\nand is looking forward to having a fruitful and mutually beneficial
\nrelationship.<\/span><\/p>\n
