The party on Monday was, among other objectives, to make the personalities feel at home and celebrate their\u00a0return to Ghana as part of the 2019 \u2018Year of Return\u2019 programme.<\/p>\n
Among them were Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s mom Tina Knowles-Lawson and husband Richard Lawson, actress Lupita Nyong\u2019o, Naomi Campbell and Ghanaian-American businesswoman, Bazoma Saint John. Nigerian musician Davido was also at the President\u2019s residence for the party.<\/p>\n
Some of them have been in Ghana for weeks, taking part in various activities earmarked for the \u2018Year of Return\u2019 2019.<\/p>\n
The programme was introduced by government to encourage people from the Diaspora to visit Ghana and connect with their origin.<\/p>\n
The President also launched an extension of the \u2018Year of Return\u2019, which he called \u2018Beyond The Return, The Diaspora Dividend\u2019.<\/p>\n
The group has visited places like the Cape Coast Castle and also partied with the President.<\/p>\n
