Kennedy Asmah<\/strong><\/p>\nTHE TARKWA-Nsuaem Municipal Chief Executive
\n(MCE), Gilbert Kennedy Asmah, has called on Ghanaians to give
\nPresident Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his administration a second term
\nin office at the next general elections to continue with their good policies.<\/p>\n
Mr. Asmah, who was speaking at a meeting with
\njournalists, said government, under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo, has
\nmade significant strides in all sectors of the economy, and deserved to be
\nsupported to complete its projects.<\/p>\n
He also said there had been notable development
\nin the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region within the three years
\nof the NPP administration.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am proud to associate myself with a
\ngovernment that delivers as promised, whose prime concern is about the people,
\na transformational government and one that is very focused irrespective of the
\neconomic predicaments,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
The MCE commended the Member of Parliament (MP)
\nfor the area, George Mireku Duker, for the major role he played in the
\nsuccesses the assembly achieved in 2019.<\/p>\n
He mentioned that the two of them would continue
\nto work hard to attain the dream of making the municipality a first class model
\nmunicipality in Ghana. <\/p>\n
He also praised the private partners in the area
\nfor their sterling contributions in the development of the Tarkwa-Nsuaem area,
\nincluding Gold Fields Ghana Limited, Anglogold Ashanti, among others. <\/p>\n
He assured the residents of the area that the
\nassembly would continue to channel every single resource to enhance the living
\nconditions of the people.<\/p>\n
While praising the media for their critical role
\nas stakeholders in the area\u2019s development, the MCE charged the journalists in
\nthe area to always ensure factual, accurate, fair and balanced reportage. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe have the honest responsibility of
\nsafeguarding the peace and unity we have managed to maintain in the
\nmunicipality, particularly going in the year 2020 which is an election year,\u201d
\nhe added.<\/p>\n
