Police on Saturday, arrested and fined two Russian tourists who were
\nfilmed having sex on Pattaya Beach, Thailand in broad daylight.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The incident took place in front of stunned onlookers during the early hours of December 28 near the entrance to Soi 13.<\/p>\n

The clip was then shared on social media with locals calling on police to locate the foreigners involved.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, January 4, police announced the arrest of a 26-year-old
\nman Roman Grigorenko and his 19-year-old girlfriend Daria Vinogradova.<\/p>\n

Police said the couple, who admitted to being the people in the clip,
\n were tracked down to a hotel in the city and brought to the Pattaya
\npolice station.\u00a0<\/p>\n

They were charged with conducting an embarrassing and pornographic act in public and fined 5,000 baht each \u2013 the highest possible fine for the offence.<\/p>\n

Prior to the incident, the couple said they had spent the evening at Walking Street and then sat on the beach consuming more alcohol.<\/p>\n

They said they were heavily intoxicated at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n

Police said this kind of incident damages Pattaya\u2019s reputation as a world class tourist destination.<\/p>\n
