Ghanaian songstress MzVee has in an exclusive interview, revealed that depression forced her to leave the music scene for two years.<\/strong><\/p>\n According to the musician whose sabbatical triggered pregnancy rumours last year, she was \u201csuper depressed\u201d between 2017 and 2018 to the extent that her situation negatively affected her professional relationship.<\/p>\n She said,<\/p>\n \u201d \u201cI was super, super depressed in 2017\/2018\u201d,\u00a0 <\/p>\n \u201cWhen my whole depression thing happened I did un-follow people\u2026I just wanted time away. I was lashing out in ways I didn\u2019t even understand\u2026I pulled away from everyone\u2026I coiled up in my shell,\u201d she revealed.<\/p>\n She described her experience with depression as \u201cthe craziest thing\u201d, noting that there were times she \u201claid on the floor and cried several times\u201d.<\/p>\n How did she survive?<\/strong><\/p>\n MzVee said despite her condition, she did not seek the help of a psychologist or therapist.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Rather, she said her colleague songstress, Efya, who she described as her best friend, was the one who helped her to overcome the depression.<\/p>\n \u201cEfya is amazing,\u201d she said, indicating that it was Efya who understood her condition.<\/p>\n She also revealed how her family stood by her side and played a great deal of role in helping her out of her situation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Source: 3News. com<\/p>\n <\/p><\/div>\n
