{"id":772828,"date":"2019-12-28T14:42:18","date_gmt":"2019-12-28T14:42:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2019\/12\/28\/enough-is-enough-saraki-tells-kwara-governor\/"},"modified":"2019-12-28T14:42:18","modified_gmt":"2019-12-28T14:42:18","slug":"enough-is-enough-saraki-tells-kwara-governor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2019\/12\/28\/enough-is-enough-saraki-tells-kwara-governor\/","title":{"rendered":"Enough Is Enough, Saraki Tells Kwara Governor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"\">\n<figure id=\"attachment_659118\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-659118\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-659118\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/saraki-1.jpg\" alt=\"Saraki\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\"  \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-659118\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bukola Saraki<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Bukola Saraki, former senate president, has kicked against Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, governor of Kwara state\u2019s move to \u201cdestroy his father\u2019s legacy\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Saraki while speaking on Saturday in reaction to the governor\u2019s decision to revoke a land occupied by his family in Ilorin, the state capital, said Abdulrazaq plans to wage war against his family.<\/p>\n<p>Rafiu Ajakaiye, chief press secretary to the governor, had in a statement on Friday revealed that the land was originally meant for government secretariat and parking space of a clinic, but was unlawfully allocated to one of Saraki\u2019s late father\u2019s private firms without any record of payment to the state government.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting, in a statement personally signed by him, Saraki who once governed the state, said contrary to Ajakaiye\u2019s claim, the land was duly allocated and a Right of Occupancy title issued on it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read Aldo:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Kwara Takes Over Land Occupied By Saraki\u2019s Family<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt should be noted that the excuse given by Abdulrazaq in his revocation order holds no water since it is clear that this is the height of his vengeance against my father, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki and I,\u201d Saraki said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis action is clearly a manifestation of vengeance \u2026 in his narrow-mindedness, he believes his victory at the polls is empowerment, entitlement and enablement to settle scores, provoke and pursue inter-family rivalry. They expected development and fulfilment of promises.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He accused the governor of waging \u201ca war of attrition\u201d against the legacy of his father and everything that belongs to the late politician, including moving to rename a university named after him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeven months down the line, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has shown that its cardinal Programme is to wage war against my late father and I. He has demonstrated that his only competence and astuteness is in the area of viciously assailing the late Oloye Saraki and I. Definitely, he is a man with no sense of history. Enough is enough. Now, he has crossed the line,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPerhaps, I should let it be known that if Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq thinks he is taking all these actions to get at me, he is only deceiving himself. There is no basis for competition between us. Our paths cannot cross because of the status that he is struggling to attain, Almighty Allah has given it to me many years before now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former senate president said he will contest revocation done by a \u201cparochial, vicious and vindictive administration\u201d through all legal means, and asked the governor to devote his time and energy to providing good governance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith all his subterranean and open moves against my family, person and property, I remain unmoved,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, his open antagonism against my late father and his legacies is unwarranted and will not be tolerated. He has definitely gone beyond bounds as he cannot be allowed to ride roughshod on the deceased.
