The 28-year-old paid himself \u00a317.1 million in 2018 \u2013 that\u2019s about \u00a347,000 a day. We need a sit down. One of Ed\u2019s companies, Ed Sheeran Limited, made a turnover of \u00a332,645,445 in 2018, with pre-tax profits of \u00a323,770,262. <\/p>\n

This was \u00a34 million down on 2017, but \u00a313 million up on 2016 \u2013 so swings and roundabouts.<\/p>\n

Ed, who is the director of the company, stated in his report ending 31 December 2018 that ordinary dividents were paid amounting \u00a317,110,000, with the company\u2019s net asset position evaluated at \u00a39,713,389 \u2013 an increase of over \u00a32 million from the previous year.<\/p>\n

The report also shows that the \u2018Shape Of You\u2019 singer paid \u00a34,506,139 in tax. He wrote: \u201cThe performance of the company is measured by reference to turnover and the level of artist activity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Revenue during the year remained stable on the prior year due to the continued exploitation of music recording and songwriting. <\/p>\n

Going forward the company\u2019s turnover is expected to remain strong but it will be dependent on the artist\u2019s continued success.<\/p>\n
