{"id":770839,"date":"2019-12-24T10:08:33","date_gmt":"2019-12-24T10:08:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2019\/12\/24\/sammy-gyamfi-reports-to-cid\/"},"modified":"2019-12-24T10:08:33","modified_gmt":"2019-12-24T10:08:33","slug":"sammy-gyamfi-reports-to-cid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2019\/12\/24\/sammy-gyamfi-reports-to-cid\/","title":{"rendered":"Sammy Gyamfi Reports To CID"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Sammy Gyamfi <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The<br \/>\nCommunications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi,<br \/>\nhas reported to the Cyber Crime Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID)<br \/>\nover ongoing investigations into an alleged cybercrime offence.<\/p>\n<p>He<br \/>\nreported yesterday around 10 am in the company of four lawyers of the NDC legal<br \/>\nteam, Abraham Amaliba, Victor Adawudu, Inusah Fuseine and George Loh.<\/p>\n<p>At<br \/>\nthe CID headquarters to give him moral support were some supporters of the<br \/>\nparty.<\/p>\n<p>The<br \/>\nNDC communications director has been accused of forgery and publication of<br \/>\nfalse information, and has been asked to report yesterday for investigations to<br \/>\ncontinue.<\/p>\n<p>The<br \/>\nDirector of the Cyber Crime Unit, ACP Dr. Gustav Herbert Yankson, a week ago, invited<br \/>\nSammy Gyamfi through a mobile phone call and followed up with a text message<br \/>\nfollowing a formal complaint lodged against him by a complainant from Jubilee House<br \/>\nover a cybercrime case.<\/p>\n<p>He<br \/>\nwas supposed to have reported last Friday, December 20, 2019 but asked to be<br \/>\npermitted to appear yesterday as he had an examination paper to write.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing<br \/>\nthe media after briefly meeting the police, Lawyer Victor Adawudu said the<br \/>\npolice invited Sammy Gyamfi to report at 10:30 am yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>He<br \/>\nsaid they reported around 10:15 am only to be told that the investigators were<br \/>\nin a meeting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter<br \/>\ntheir meeting, the police came to tell us our meeting was not going to be<br \/>\npossible and that we have to reschedule the meeting to 11 am today,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p> (lindatenyah@gmail.com) <\/p>\n<p> <strong>By Linda Tenyah-Ayettey <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sammy Gyamfi The Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has reported to the Cyber Crime Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) over ongoing investigations into an alleged cybercrime offence.
