{"id":770346,"date":"2019-12-23T14:12:40","date_gmt":"2019-12-23T14:12:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2019\/12\/23\/new-ecg-boss-engages-staff\/"},"modified":"2019-12-23T14:12:40","modified_gmt":"2019-12-23T14:12:40","slug":"new-ecg-boss-engages-staff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2019\/12\/23\/new-ecg-boss-engages-staff\/","title":{"rendered":"New ECG Boss Engages Staff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Kwame Agyeman-Budu  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>THE<br \/>\nNEW Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Kwame<br \/>\nAgyeman-Budu, has engaged staff of the company at separate fora across the<br \/>\ncountry where he spelt out his vision for the power distribution company. <\/p>\n<p>Mr<br \/>\nAgyeman-Budu emphasized the need for the staff to maintain the private sector<br \/>\nethics which they exhibited during the period when the Power Distribution Services<br \/>\n(PDS) took over to help transform the company for the greater good.<\/p>\n<p>According<br \/>\nto him, his tenure will witness the mirroring of the private sector delivery<br \/>\nmechanisms of cost and profit considerations where performance indicators formed<br \/>\nthe basis of enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>He<br \/>\nsaid his administration would work on expenditure reduction, reliability of<br \/>\npower supply, improved revenue collection and customer service delivery as key<br \/>\nthematic strategies.<\/p>\n<p>He<br \/>\nalso highlighted the need to enhance project assessment, adding that projects<br \/>\nmust bring value for money. In achieving this, he said due diligence and the<br \/>\npursuance of standard procurement practices must be adhered to.<\/p>\n<p>The<br \/>\nnew MD further assured the staff he would institute awards and incentives for<br \/>\nstaff who worked to improve the company\u2019s situation adding that he would show<br \/>\ngreater commitment to making available all logistics needed to achieve the<br \/>\ncompany\u2019s revenue targets.<\/p>\n<p>Agyeman-Budu<br \/>\nadditionally stated adequate measures had been put in place to ensure reliable<br \/>\nand stable power supply during the festive season. He said currently, all<br \/>\nmaintenance works were on halt except in critical cases.
