Edward Boateng, CEO, GMA <\/strong><\/p>\n

GLOBAL
\nMEDIA Alliance (GMA) has launched the fourth edition of the Ghana Beverage
\nAwards (GBA). <\/p>\n

As
\nGhana celebrates the Year of Return, this year\u2019s GBA, under the theme: \u201cInspiring
\nExcellence in Ghana\u2019s Beverage Industry\u201d, will promote especially local
\nbeverages and the participation of small-scale beverage enterprises in the
\nawards scheme. <\/p>\n

The launch, which came off in Accra, saw the
\nintroduction of a new category; Beverage Advert of the Year; and Beverage Forum,
\nahead of the awards night.<\/p>\n

The
\naddition of the new category is to acknowledge feedback from stakeholders,
\nparticularly consumers. The Beverage Advert of the Year Award goes to the brand
\nin the year under review which is enjoying massive public appeal with its creative
\npublicity. The Beverage Forum will also assemble industry stakeholders on
\ncurrent happenings, the future of the Ghanaian beverage industry and progress
\npaths.<\/p>\n

Speaking
\nafter the launch of the 2019 Awards in Accra, Chief Executive Officer of GMA, Ernest
\nBoateng, said GBA kept getting better year after year, adding that the event
\nhas grown in size and quality. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe
\nhave been able to bring on board more beverage companies and attracted more
\ngovernment support. An evidence of our growth is the public response we got
\nduring the online nomination process,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

He
\nwent ahead to add that the Year of Return is a perfect opportunity for Ghana
\nBeverage Awards to further thrive.<\/p>\n

Last
\nyear Storm Energy Drink, from Kasapreko Company Limited (KCL), bagged the
\nultimate award, Product of the Year, with the same company emerging
\nManufacturer of the Year. Other companies awarded on the night included
\nBel-Aqua, Twellium Industries, Guinness Ghana Ltd. among others. <\/p>\n

The
\nGhana Beverage Awards is organized by Global Media Alliance.\u00a0 Supporting partners are the Food Research
\nInstitute (FRI) under CSIR, Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and the Food and
