Ho, Dec. 14, GNA – Former President John
\nDramani Mahama, Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on
\nSaturday charged members of Party to “stand together” and
\n“rescue the nation from hardship” in the 2020 general elections.<\/span><\/p>\n

He asked them to remain prayerful for the
\nParty and work for its victory next year, adding, “We dare not fail the
\ncountry.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The former President said this at the burial
\nservice for the late Victoria Adzo Adzagli-Ametefee, wife of Mr Henry Ametefee,
\nVolta Regional Chairman of NDC.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said the wish of the late Mrs Ametefee
\nwas to see the NDC in power in 2020 and urged members of the Party to get to
\nwork.<\/span><\/p>\n

The former President said the deceased was
\nknown for her hard work and commitment to the Party and that NDC\u2019s victory in
\n2020 was a must to give her a peaceful rest.<\/span><\/p>\n

The late Mrs Ametefee was died on Sunday,
\nOctober, 27, 2019 at the Volta Regional Hospital, where she was rushed in a
\n“critical distress.”<\/span><\/p>\n

She is survived by three children and a
\nhusband.<\/span><\/p>\n

The funeral was attended by leadership of
\nthe NDC from national to local levels, former government appointees, former and
\nsitting Members of Parliament among others.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also present were Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa,
\nVolta Regional Minister, Mr Pius Hadzide, Deputy Minister of Information, some
\nMunicipal and District Chief Executives, chiefs and queenmothers.<\/span><\/p>\n
