Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu<\/strong><\/p>\n

THE MAJORITY leader in Parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, has backed
\ngovernment\u2019s decision to manufacture new Cedi notes.<\/p>\n

The new Cedi notes
\nare in GH\u00a2200 and GH\u00a2100 notes, reports indicate. Some people have kicked
\nagainst the new notes.<\/p>\n

Bonsu, who is also
\nthe Suame MP, said the new Cedi notes would bring several significant benefits
\nto the country within a short time.<\/p>\n

According to him,
\nthe GH\u00a2200 and GH\u00a2100 notes would help improve and facilitate business
\ntransactions among the people in the country.<\/p>\n

The majority
\nleader also stated that since the new notes were higher, it would go a long way
\nto prevent robbery attacks of innocent people.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince the notes
\nare in GH\u00a2200 and GH\u00a2100, you will not be exposed to robbers even when you are
\nmoving with huge money,\u201d he said on radio.<\/p>\n

Most importantly,
\nthe Suame lawmaker said the new notes would change the characteristics of the
\nCedi notes and avert the printing of fake Cedi notes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am all for the new Cedi notes because its benefits are enormous,\u201d he declared, adding that it will help improve the economy.<\/p>\n
