{"id":757839,"date":"2019-12-04T08:51:16","date_gmt":"2019-12-04T08:51:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2019\/12\/04\/nca-orders-mtn-to-compensate-customers-over-poor-service\/"},"modified":"2019-12-04T08:51:16","modified_gmt":"2019-12-04T08:51:16","slug":"nca-orders-mtn-to-compensate-customers-over-poor-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2019\/12\/04\/nca-orders-mtn-to-compensate-customers-over-poor-service\/","title":{"rendered":"NCA Orders MTN To Compensate Customers Over &#8216;Poor Service&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The National Communications Authority (NCA) has ordered MTN Ghana to address every challenges it is facing which has resulted to it offering unsatisfactory services to customs in recent time.<\/p>\n<p>According to NCA, the telco giant should ensure the immediate resolution of the challenges with its billing system and affected transactions.<\/p>\n<p>NCA made the call in a letter to MTN Ghana signed by its Director General, Joe Anokye.<\/p>\n<p>The letter dated 3rd December, 2019, observed that from 1st December, MTN customers have been facing challenges with billing inaccuracies regarding the purchase of their telecommunications services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFurthermore, the Authority also noted that MTN\u2019s Customer Care Lines were largely inaccessible for a period of time between 1st and 2nd December, 2019,\u201d the letter revealed.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, NCA has directed the company to refund all loses to affected customers.<\/p>\n<p>It also asked MTN to compensate affected customers and inform them of the compensation package.<\/p>\n<p>Again, NCA has ordered MTN to ensure that over 95 percent of all calls to its call centers are successful as required by its license.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BY Melvin Tarlue<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Communications Authority (NCA) has ordered MTN Ghana to address every challenges it is facing which has resulted to it offering unsatisfactory services to customs in recent time.
