{"id":756723,"date":"2019-12-02T23:10:14","date_gmt":"2019-12-02T23:10:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2019\/12\/02\/i-dont-pray-through-jesus-christ-ambolley\/"},"modified":"2019-12-02T23:10:14","modified_gmt":"2019-12-02T23:10:14","slug":"i-dont-pray-through-jesus-christ-ambolley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2019\/12\/02\/i-dont-pray-through-jesus-christ-ambolley\/","title":{"rendered":"I don&#8217;t pray through Jesus Christ &#8211; Ambolley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\">\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"456\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/image-23-696x456.png\"   alt=\"Gyedu-Blay Ambolley\" title=\"Gyedu-Blay Ambolley\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Gyedu-Blay Ambolley<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Afro-jazz and highlife legend Gyedu-Blay Ambolley says Jesus is not God so he prays directly to God and never through Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople are saying Jesus is God\u201d, Mr Ambolley complained to Class FM Saturday, 30 November 2019, explaining: \u201cIt\u2019s like this formation of the white people that has been brought to us but we mustn\u2019t forget that all of us went through the missionary schools; all the schools that we went to, Anglican, Presbyterian, Roman Catholic, all were established by the missionaries, so, they taught us what they wanted us to know\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Asked by the host if he believed Jesus is God, Ambolley said: \u201cI believe in being truthful to myself, I believe that I cannot say Jesus is God or if I want to pray to the creator, I have to pray to the creator through Jesus\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ ALSO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He explained further: \u201cIt\u2019s just like [being in] a family that you\u2019re not at peace with your father, so, if you want anything from your father, maybe you pass through your brother or you pass through your sister because you can\u2019t go straight to your father because of your misbehaving, so, now you want to use somebody\u201d to get through to your father.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMe, if I want anything, I go straight to my creator, I\u2019m never going to go through Jesus; for what?\u201d he asked, adding: \u201cBefore I came into this world, everything was in order; when I leave this world, the order is still going to be the same, I\u2019m not going to say somebody has come so [I have to pray through him] because I see Jesus as a teacher; a teacher that he has told you that if you want to go to God, this is the way; he has finished his job\u201d, Ambolley argued.<\/p>\n<p>He, therefore, wondered why people make so much noise about Jesus in churches.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you want to have any collaboration with your father, go to your room and speak with your father one-on-one. It\u2019s not that you take a microphone and \u2018gbegbegbegbegbe\u2019. Look at where religion is going now.
