ONGOING RENOVATION works on the Prempeh Assembly Hall project is rapidly
\nnearing completion.<\/p>\n

A recent visit to
\nthe place revealed that contractors were seriously putting up finishing touches
\non the facility.<\/p>\n

The Prempeh
\nAssembly Hall is one of the important monuments in Kumasi and the Ashanti
\nRegion in general.<\/p>\n

The famous
\nfacility had served as the venue for important government and private functions
\nfor several decades.<\/p>\n

Significantly, the
\nPrempeh Assembly Hall also served as venue for some programmes of the Manhyia
\nPalace.<\/p>\n

But after years of
\nlack of maintenance, the facility started to deteriorate, leading to the
\nrehabilitation of the facility.<\/p>\n

Osei Assibey
\nAntwi, the current Kumasi Mayor, in a chat with DAILY GUIDE,<\/em><\/strong> said he was
\nhappy about the progress.<\/p>\n

According to him,
\nthe contractor was working according to time, indicating that quality work had
\nbeen executed.<\/p>\n

Osei Assibey
\ndisclosed that new seats and air conditioners had been installed in the
\nfacility by the contractor, so far.<\/p>\n

Barring any last
\nminute hitch, he said works would be completed for the official opening of the
\nproject soon.<\/p>\n
