{"id":753335,"date":"2019-11-27T17:24:34","date_gmt":"2019-11-27T17:24:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2019\/11\/27\/ghana-develops-faster-under-npp-asenso\/"},"modified":"2019-11-27T17:24:34","modified_gmt":"2019-11-27T17:24:34","slug":"ghana-develops-faster-under-npp-asenso","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2019\/11\/27\/ghana-develops-faster-under-npp-asenso\/","title":{"rendered":"Ghana Develops Faster Under NPP- Asenso"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Francis Asenso-Boakye<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A<br \/>\nDEPUTY Chief of Staff, Francis Asenso-Boakye, has insisted that the country<br \/>\nexperiences rapid growth anytime the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is in office.<\/p>\n<p>In<br \/>\nthis regard, he has entreated Ghanaians, especially those with voting rights,<br \/>\nto vote massively for the NPP in 2020 so that the country will remain on the<br \/>\npath towards prosperity.<\/p>\n<p>Mr.<br \/>\nAsenso-Boakye addressing the members of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science<br \/>\nand Technology (KNUST) branch of the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) of<br \/>\nthe NPP over the weekend said the NPP has an enviable record of always<br \/>\nfulfilling its campaign promises.<\/p>\n<p>He<br \/>\nsaid the Akufo-Addo government has succeeded in fixing the fundamentals of the<br \/>\neconomy and Ghana was preparing for a smooth economic take-off.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll<br \/>\nthe indicators are pointing to a positive direction and with the support of<br \/>\nGhanaians, President Akufo-Addo will lead the country to prosperity,\u201d the Deputy<br \/>\nChief of Staff stated.<\/p>\n<p>Besides,<br \/>\nhe said the country witnessed massive transformation under President Kufuor<br \/>\nbefore Ghanaians misjudged and returned the NDC to power only to rock the boat<br \/>\nof progress through mismanagement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnder<br \/>\nPresident Kufuor, the economy grew from a low income to a middle income<br \/>\neconomy; there was repeal of the Criminal Libel Law, the introduction of the<br \/>\nNHIS and other pro-poor policies. Similarly, President Akufo-Addo\u2019s government<br \/>\nhas since 2017 initiated a number of positive programmes in fulfilment of its<br \/>\ncampaign promises during the 2016 elections,\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe<br \/>\nintroduction of the Free SHS policy, Planting for Food and Jobs and One-District<br \/>\nOne-Factory (1D1F) are some of the president\u2019s positive policies to help<br \/>\nalleviate poverty,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>Mr.<br \/>\nAsenso-Boakye, who is a former TESCON leader, justified government\u2019s decision<br \/>\nto use national resources to implement the Free SHS policy to help develop<br \/>\nGhana\u2019s human resource base.<\/p>\n<p>He, therefore, urged the TESCON members to uphold the principles of sacrifice, service and patriotism in their quest to take up leadership positions in future and contribute to national development.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>FROM I.F.
