And since its lock up, the facility has been deteriorating at a fast rate which is really affecting the fishing business in the area,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large td-caption-align-https:\/\/www.adomonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2019-11-27-at-07.45.33.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2019-11-27-at-07.45.33-576x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"fishes\" class=\"wp-image-1726163\"  \/><\/figure>\n<p><strong>ALSO: We\u2019ll stand by you \u2013 Government assures rice farmers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He also noted that aside the storage facility being used to prevent post-harvest losses; it produced ice cubes in large quantities used by fishermen to preserve fish whilst at sea.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking also on the same show, Rexford Omari, the 2018 best fisherman could not hide his frustration over the situation, saying the lack of cold storage facilities in the country is resulting in a lot of financial losses to fishermen.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large td-caption-align-https:\/\/www.adomonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2019-11-27-at-07.45.33-2.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2019-11-27-at-07.45.33-2-576x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"fishes\" class=\"wp-image-1726164\"  \/><\/figure>\n<p>READ: <strong>Power restored to most areas after Tuesday blackout \u2013 GRIDCo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u201cInstead of selling a crate of fish for GH\u00a2 160.00, we are forced to sell them for as low as GH\u00a2 30.00, we are really losing money,\u201d he cried.<\/p>\n<p>The fishermen are, therefore, pleading with President Nana Akufo-Addo to intervene and have the situation immediately resolved.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fishermen in the Ningo-Prampram District of the Greater Accra region have expressed their frustration over the seeming collapse of a cold storage facility in the area.
