THE
\nGHANA Post Service (GPS) and Allianz Insurance Ghana have jointly launched an
\ninsurance package dubbed: \u2018Post
\nAssurance\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The
\npackage comprises two products: Allianz Apomuden \u2013 which comes with 30 days
\nhospital admission benefits, and Allianz Anidaso \u2013 which offers funeral
\nbenefits for the insured or the beneficiary.<\/p>\n

With
\nthe Post Assurance, policy holders can pay premiums at the Post Office or
\nthrough their mobile money wallets, and can have the opportunity to make
\npartial withdrawals and surrender the policy. <\/p>\n

In
\nhis address, the Managing Director of GPS, James Kwofie, said the decision to
\nventure into insurance was informed by the need to satisfy various segments of
\nthe Ghanaian economy and to offer tailor-made services to their valued
\nclientele.<\/p>\n

\u201cGhana
\nPost has a significant opportunity to meet the needs of customers and to
\npromote financial inclusion in the rural settings with this service.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cGhana
\nPost is a trusted brand and friendly to all and sundry,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith
\na network of over 300 post offices nationwide, Post Assurance brings insurance
\nproducts on the doorstep of every Ghanaian,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

On
\nhis part, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Allianz Insurance Ghana, Gideon
\nAtaraire, mentioned that the aim of Post Assurance was to, among others, promote,
\nsell and distribute life and non-life products with product innovation,
\naffordability and education at the centre of their operations.<\/p>\n

He
\nsaid, \u201cWith Post Assurance, our aim is to ensure business and families do not
\ncollapse. We want to ensure that businesses do not collapse, family dreams do
\nnot die, children\u2019s education is not truncated due to unforeseen circumstances
\nand families do not move from grace to grass.\u201d<\/p>\n

The
\nHead of Supervision at the National Insurance Commission (NIC), Seth Eshun, said there was the need for individuals to not only plan for
\ntheir future but also plan for the future of their partners and children.<\/p>\n

He
\nsaid that when the idea came for Ghana Post to go into insurance, they felt it
\nwas a good opportunity to bring insurance closer and make it more attractive to
\nthe average Ghanaian.<\/p>\n

He urged the general public to think more critically about their future and prepare adequately for it by purchasing insurance products.<\/p>\n
