BARCLAYS BANK Ghana has announced that it has upgraded its ReadytoWork e-Learning platform. <\/p>\n

The
\nlook and feel of the ReadytoWork web portal has also been fully refreshed to
\nreflect Absa\u2019s new brand and digital focus.<\/p>\n

In
\nthe bank\u2019s recent ReadytoWork engagements with over 500 final year students
\nfrom the University of Ghana, Presbyterian University College and Central
\nUniversity; the participants were introduced to the new portal which is
\ndesigned to acquaint them with the possibilities in the world of work for the
\nyouth.<\/p>\n

The
\nReadytoWork programme is the bank\u2019s flagship digital learning curriculum
\ninitiative that helps to prepare young people for the transition from school to
\nthe world of work. It empowers young people with the skills they need to
\nenhance their employment or self-employment prospects. <\/p>\n

Speaking
\non the new upgraded curriculum and portal at a ReadytoWork session at the
\nUniversity of Ghana, Head of Citizenship at Barclays Ghana, Priscilla Yeboah, said,
\n\u201cThe enhancement is to improve the functionalities and enrich the modules with
\ntopics such as Emotional Intelligence and Agility, which will give users insight
\ninto these contemporary competencies employers expect from new hires.\u201d<\/p>\n

As
\nBarclays transitions to Absa by early next year, Ms. Yeboah indicated that the
\nbank will deepen its commitment towards supporting the upskilling of the Ghanaian
\nyouth.<\/p>\n

The
\nReadytoWork initiative is under the Education and Skills Development programme.
\nApart from ReadytoWork, the bank has also disbursed close to 500 tertiary
