THE KWAME Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi,
\nhas been described as one of the best tertiary institutions in Africa.<\/p>\n

In this regard,
\ninvestors from all over the world, especially Germany, have been urged to
\ninvest in key areas in the university and make huge profit in return.<\/p>\n

Osei Assibey
\nAntwi, the Kumasi Major, who made the call, said the population of the KNUST
\nkept increasing, resulting in infrastructural problems, which needed attention.<\/p>\n

According to him,
\nthe population of the KNUST has now hit over 50,000 and this sharp increase in
\nstudents has led to shortage of accommodation and other challenges.<\/p>\n

The KMA Chief
\nExecutive therefore stated any investor that would invest in the KNUST,
\nespecially in the hostel business, would accrue huge profits in a short time.<\/p>\n

\u201cKumasi is
\npeaceful and this is one of the reasons foreign students keep enrolling at the
\nKNUST, which is by far one of the best universities on the African continent,\u201d
\nhe said.<\/p>\n

Speaking to a
\ndelegation of Members of Parliament (MP) from Germany, the Kumasi Mayor said
\nlands for construction of accommodation facilities at KNUST are available.<\/p>\n

He said
\nauthorities at the KNUST would readily enter into a partnership agreement with
\nany foreign investor that wishes to solve the accommodation problems in the
\nschool.<\/p>\n

Osei Assibey said Kumasi was peaceful with friendly people so the city is fertile for investment. The German delegation was in Kumasi to explore business opportunities.<\/p>\n
