\n
Chiefs of the Akropong Traditional Council alongside Dennis Aboagye, Municipal Chief Executive
\n(MCE) of Akuapem North in the Eastern Region, have visited sites in the area
\nwhere projects are ongoing.<\/p>\n
The projects are being funded by the Government of Ghana
\nand the assembly\u2019s Internally Generated Fund (IGF).\u00a0<\/p>\n
They visited about 16 projects sites such as factories meant
\nfor the One-District, One-Factory, nursery for oil palm, expansion of
\nfacilities at various senior high schools, among others.<\/p>\n
After the tour, the MCE said he wanted the chiefs to
\nhave a fair idea of all government projects in the municipality and also solicit
\ntheir support for future development projects.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThe chiefs saw on the ground that every single promise
\nmade by the President was being fulfilled within the municipality and I have no
\ndoubt that they are convinced that we are doing our best,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Mr. Aboagye said some of the chiefs were amazed that the
\nbuilding of the Apasare Meat Processing Plant was underway.<\/p>\n
Nana Osim Kwatia, Chief of Amanokrom and Akuapem Gyaasehene,
\nsaid their engagement with the MCE had been fruitful and it must be
\nstrengthened.<\/p>\n
