Madam Amma Busia<\/strong><\/p>\n

The people of Brong Ahafo have
\nhonoured one of their own, Madam Amma Busia, a former member of the Council of
\nState and elder of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) \u201cfor her selfless and patriotic
\nservice to her people.\u201d<\/p>\n

A plaque signifying the honour
\nwas presented to her at her Abelemkpe residence in Accra a few days ago. <\/p>\n

A woman who many hold dear to
\ntheir hearts, one of the brains behind the honour who has craved anonymity, said
\nMadam Amma Busia \u201ccontinues to render selfless service to the people of the
\nregion and the country in diverse ways. We are unable to express our gratitude
\nenough to correspond to what she has done for us. Suffice to present this
\nplaque as a symbolic gesture of how much we hold her in our hearts. May she live
\nlong to continue to listen to us when our hearts are laden and to give us her
\ncharacteristic mitigating intervention and succor.\u201d<\/p>\n

Madam Amma Busia is the sister
\nof the late Prime Minister K.A. Busia. She has endured the worst parts of Ghana\u2019s
\nturbulent political past; a story she shares with relish and sometimes anger. <\/p>\n
