The
\nNew Patriotic Party (NPP) National Youth Organizer, Henry Nana Boakye, aka Nana
\nB, has said the Akufo-Addo administration is fulfilling its campaign promises
\nand will not disappoint the people of Ghana.<\/p>\n

He
\nsaid President Akufo-Addo and \u00a0Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia\u00a0 were committed to ensuring that there was
\naccelerated development of the country and would not get distracted by the
\nopposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), adding that \u201cone good term
\ndeserves another.\u201d<\/p>\n

Addressing
\n\u2018The Youth Must Know\u2019 series, an initiative of the NPP Youth Wing, on Monday in
\nTamale in the Northern Region, Nana B said \u201cPresident Akufo-Addo, in a
\nrelatively short time, has brought hope and happiness to people in the north
\ndue to the many far-reaching social intervention policies and job creation
\ninitiatives being implemented. On the other hand, when Mr. Mahama and the NDC
\nwere in office, they were a monumental failure and disappointment to the
\nnorthern regions.\u201d<\/p>\n

He
\nsaid the NPP would give the youth in the northern regions compelling reasons to
\nown its 2020 campaign, work assiduously on the grounds and vote massively for
\nAkufo-Addo\/Bawumia ticket in 2020 so they can continue to deliver for Ghana.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn
\nthe eight years of the NDC, they paid lip service to youth employment. In fact,
\nunemployment in the northern regions had significantly increased by the time
\nthe NDC left office in 2016. The rate of poverty was equally alarming. The
\nincompetence and corrupt tendencies of Mr. Mahama rather eroded the gains made
\nby the erstwhile Kufuor government, thereby worsening the plight of the youth
\nin this part of the country.\u201d<\/p>\n

He
\nsaid that thousands of youth in the north lost their jobs due to five years of \u2018dumsor-dumsor\u2019
\nunder Mr. Mahama, adding that the NYEP avenue created by former President Kufuor
\nto offer jobs to the youth was also turned into a \u2018cash cow\u2019 for the NDC after
\nbeing renamed GYEEDA.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr.
\nMahama and the NDC, through GYEEDA, misappropriated and embezzled over GH\u00a21 billion
\nthat could have created thousands of jobs for the young people in the northern
\nregions,\u201d Nana B pointed out.<\/p>\n

He
\nsaid \u201ctoday, this same person, who perpetrated such an atrocious act against Ghanaians
\nand the people of the north, is unashamedly working against \u2018One-District One-Factory\u2019,
\n\u2018One-Village One-Dam\u2019 and other great job creation and life-changing policies
\nof President Akufo-Addo.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Mahama should tell the good people in the northern regions the number of jobs he created and why he would be any better if given a second chance,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
