PRESIDENT AKUFO-Addo participated in the 2nd Edition of the Africa Investment Forum; a forum \u201caimed at raising capital, advancing projects to bankable stage and accelerating financial closure of deals\u201d in Johannesburg, South Africa.<\/p>\n

In addition to touting the economic gains his administration has chalked since he assumed office nearly three years ago, the president signed the Concession Agreement for the construction of the Accra Sky Train Project.<\/p>\n

The forum, organised by the African Development Bank (AfDB) and its partners, is the largest multi-stakeholder and multi-disciplinary marketplace globally, aimed at raising capital, advancing projects to the bankable stage and accelerating financial closure of deals.<\/p>\n

President Akufo-Addo also participated in the Invest in Africa Space event,\u00a0a panel discussion on \u201cReshaping the African Narrative: Branding for Success\u201d<\/p>\n

He held meetings with the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce, Karen Dunn Kelley.<\/p>\n

Accompanying the president to the forum was Minister for Railways Development, Joe Ghartey; as well as some officials of the Presidency and the Foreign Ministry.<\/p>\n
