We were all happy when those promises were made. Little did we know this was proper propaganda at its peak,\u201d some of them in an interview with <strong>Adomonline.com<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the residents complained about politicians who capitalise on their weaknesses to win power but neglect them after winning power.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Eastern-Corridor-Road-Poor-Roads-_06.jpg\" alt=\"Passengers get down from car, attempting to aid driver push car out of mud \" class=\"wp-image-1720056\"  \/><figcaption><strong>Passengers get down from car to aid driver push car out of mud <\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A thorough tour to the area revealed that many of the residents find it difficult to transact their day-to-day routine to provide food for their families because of muddy road.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Eastern-Corridor-Road-Poor-Roads-_09.jpg\" alt=\"Muddy road from Nkonya to Abotiase\" class=\"wp-image-1720059\"  \/><figcaption>M<strong>uddy road from Nkonya to Abotiase<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Traders and farmers equally complained about the roads because they found it difficult to transport their harvest to bigger cities for market. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Eastern-Corridor-Road-Poor-Roads-_13.jpg\" alt=\"Motorist swerves potholes \" class=\"wp-image-1720067\"  \/><figcaption><strong>Motorist swerves potholes<\/strong> <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Drivers who are able to move to and fro in the region said they spend much on spare-parts when their vehicles develop faults. Those who are unable to fix theirs are rendered jobless.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Eastern-Corridor-Road-Poor-Roads-_09.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1720059\"  \/><\/figure>\n<p>The story is not all that bad on other roads. About an hour and thirty minutes\u2019 drive to Atimpoku from Accra is a smooth one but passing through Aboasa, Frankadua to Fintey in the Volta region isn\u2019t easy.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Eastern-Corridor-Road-Poor-Roads-_04.jpg\" alt=\"Truck driver drives through muddy pool at Satrokofi\" class=\"wp-image-1720054\"  \/><figcaption>Truck driver drives through muddy pool at Satrokofi<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The road from Peki to Kpeve is nowhere near standard. Due to this, the inhabitants find it difficult to market their products. The whole town has been engulfed in dust. One could literally taste dust after breathing in air during a journey in the area. Same applies to some parts of roads at Have.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Eastern-Corridor-Road-Poor-Roads-_01.jpg\" alt=\"Sharp curve with deep potholes at Lekpe at Afadjato\" class=\"wp-image-1720062\"  \/><figcaption><strong>Sharp curve with deep potholes at Lekpe at Afadjato<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The master of all potholes could be attributed to Hohoe roads.
